Cosmos, goddess of Harmony

[Ceodore wakes to the melodious sound of Cosmos speaking and pushes himself to his feet. There is something in her tone that is soothing and reassuring, a balm for the roiling insecurities he carries inside. It's a directive, and one that he means to hold on to, regardless of the cost, even if he's not confident he can make it happen. When her power is released around him, it feels like a comforting embrace and somehow familiar though he is uncertain why.

He glances around the Sanctuary, looking to the other faces to see if any are familiar to him and if any can fill in the large gaps of things he knows he cannot remember.]

[Rydia stands nearby, refreshed and soothed by the pale white light, and inspecting her person. Whip, check. Rod, check. And...her Eidolons, which can't be seen but whose connection to her she can still sense. Vastly relieved, she now ponders over Cosmos' words.]

Seek the crystals...? Why does that sound familiar?

[She frowns in thought, knowing that it does but unable to say why. Frustrating.]

[There's a familiar face! Maybe. Kind of. Hmm. Ceodore trots over while Rydia's taking her personal inventory and scratches the back of his head nervously.]

Hey uh... you okay?

[Rydia pauses and looks him over, frowning in thought.]

I'm fine, just...confused. It would be nice to have more in the way of memories or a game plan to all this.

...do I know you?

From:

I- I, um... I think so? You seem familiar but uh, I don't remember much.

[Ceodore squints at her as if to make his memory jostle more.]

[She frowns a little in frustration, but nods.]

I don't, either. And the only thing that does come to mind isn't helping with that, since you weren't there.

[And even if he was, she's not wanting to talk about that.]

I don't suppose you remember anything about crystals?

From:

Sorry. I know Cosmos needs us to find them.

Um... what do you remember?

[He's got some huge gaps in his own memory and it's bothering him.]

Nothing about crystals, though they do sound important and familiar. I just haven't figured out why, yet.

[And then she wrinkles her nose.]

The only memory I do have is of fighting someone who looked just like me, flesh and blood and with the same abilities. It was...uncanny.

[Warrior of Light stands there for a moment as the light swirls around him. Outwardly he shows no emotion but he is relieved to be once again in the Goddess' presence.

And as he steadfastly stands there to gaze upon her, he nods his assent to her request.]

[Of all the warriors who have come and gone over the span of cycles, those who have been summoned and fallen, risen and defeated... here returns the one she has come to look for the most. Though she would never openly admit to a shade of favoritism, his is the one presence she missed most keenly in the cycle previous. That he had been missing worried her more than she could say, and now that he is returned, Cosmos is awash with relief. And yet she regrets he has been drawn back and is not freed from the Conflict.]

My warrior...

[The one not summoned, who chose to fight for her and stay by her side. She knows his face and its significance as well.

That might be the smallest of smiles dancing at the corners of Cosmos' mouth.]

[He nodded again, his eyes missing nothing to take in her presence. And while it was true that he had no idea what was going on or if this was some sort of continuation, his will and guiding light was here. No matter what else was going on, he could handle it knowing simply that Cosmos was here to guide him.]

Cosmos.

From:

[He is so earnest and devoted. Such dedication serves as assurance to Cosmos that they will see an end to the Conflict, though she wonders what will become of him.]

I am pleased to have you by my side, my devoted champion.

From:

Your radiant light shall always be with us. And we will see an end to this conflict, this I vow.

[With Her presence here, nothing could stand in his way.]

From:

That is all that I hope for. I know you will hold true to your word.

From:

[He could feel himself relaxing beneath his armour. Rest would be a good idea but that would come in time. Being in Cosmos' divine presence was more than enough for him right now so he nodded, not wanting to part from Her at all.

But She too needed to deal with far more important things than to stay by his side though his heart was always gladdened when he could see Her. But he would handle everything that he could in Her absence and in Her name.

The Warrior of Light had no idea what would become of him after it ended but it didn't matter. All that mattered was resolving this conflict for Cosmos so he nodded to Her.]

I do not know how many warriors are here to serve You but we shall fulfill your wish to find our crystals to put end this.

[The matter of their numbers. Cosmos' strength has diminished, both for having endured yet more cycles of battle, and for having given some of her power away to her warriors. She looks down at her hands, heart heavy.]

Seven. There are seven warriors.

[It's times like this that when Her strength wanes, the warrior will be a pillar of strength for the both of them.]

Regardless, there will always be a way, You taught me that. Even if our numbers dwindle as long as we find our crystals we shall prevail.

[Saleh wakes, thoroughly confused. Cosmos's voice is soothing, encouraging. He's been given a duty, and he must fulfill it. And yet, he can't help feeling empty inside, without his memories. Why does he feel that he's missing something important?]

...Cosmos...we must find the crystals...but how?
